We identified a gap in the market: while Swiss brands emphasized technical precision and German brands
focused on engineering, no luxury watch brand truly captured Italian lifestyle—the dolce vita philosophy,
maritime heritage, and understated confidence.
Through deep consumer research, we discovered that affluent buyers aged 30-50 were increasingly seeking
authenticity and cultural connection in luxury purchases, not just Swiss "precision."
Phase 2: Brand Identity & Visual Language
We created a complete brand system that balanced Italian heritage with contemporary minimalism. The visual
identity draws from Italian maritime history—clean lines reminiscent of classic yachts, colors inspired by
the Mediterranean, typography that feels both classic and modern.
Every touchpoint was designed to communicate "effortless Italian elegance"—from packaging that feels like
opening a piece of Italian craftsmanship to marketing materials that showcase lifestyle over technical specs.
Phase 3: Market Launch Strategy
Instead of traditional watch retail, we recommended a direct-to-consumer model complemented by exclusive
partnerships with Italian luxury lifestyle brands. This allowed for premium pricing while building a
community of brand ambassadors who embodied the Castelmarino lifestyle.
